Latini-Hohberger Dhimantec's HCSE Extruder has automated the task of making striped candy batches, eliminating the time it takes to manually layer the stripes and greatly reducing the skilled labor required for first-class striped candy production. The Hard Candy Striping Extruder continuously extrudes a 3-inch rope with alternating striped patterns that characterize the starlight mint, the candy cane, and other striped candies. The precise stripes produced by this extruder yield a strikingly high-quality candy.

The extruder can be fed manually or as part of a continuous system. The unique painting of the stripe to the center mass requires minimum horsepower with very low discharge pressure. The entire extruder is hot oil jacketed in order to maintain proper candy mass temperature and viscosity. The resulting striped candy rope can be fed into our Starlight forming machinery, or can continuously supply other forming equipment for popular products such as candy canes and sticks.
